This in-person class is created for parents-to-be in their third trimester. This class is designed to be taken in addition to (or replacing) your hospital-based birth prep class. Think of this as a crash course for birth prep taught by your favorite doulas who will tell it to you straight 😉 You will learn the stages of labor and comfort measures for each stage, how to write a birth plan, common medical interventions used in birth, labor/pushing positions, strategies for advocating within the medical system, and tips for birth partners to best support the birthing person. This course is designed to be taken with your birthing partner, if you choose.

We offer this 4 hour class once every month. We switch between Saturdays from 9am-1pm or Tues/Thurs from 4-8pm.

This in-person class is created for parents-to-be in their final trimester. You will learn what you can expect from your newborn between the moment of birth through 12 weeks old. We will cover newborn interventions after birth, infant feeding, soothing techniques, and what you can expect from newborn sleep. Using dolls and other props, you will practice diapering, swaddling, and bathing a newborn! We will also cover what you can expect from your postpartum recovery beginning immediately after birth throughout your fourth trimester (12 weeks). We will cover your anatomy and physiology postpartum, strategies for getting enough sleep, nutrition and returning to movement, how to ask for the support you actually need, and the difference between baby blues and perinatal mood disorders.
